“We invited Neil to speak at our Asia HR Town Hall event to talk through his story and the life lessons learned on his journey. Neil’s talk was emotional, tactile but extremely inspiring. Without doubt one of the most inspiring talks I’ve attended.”

Born and raised in Vancouver, Neil love for Snowboarding, mountains and the water all played into his sense of adventure. His desire to seek the next thrill and challenge would prompt his move to Hong Kong in 2011.
In 2023 Neil faced a sudden battle with sepsis that led to 17 surgeries and the loss of both legs below the knee. Waking up to that reality was devastating, but it also became the moment he realised that adversity doesn’t have to define the end of a story - it can shape the beginning of a new one.
Through sheer determination in just one year after his amputations, he returned to his professional career, learned to walk again, earned an LL1 para-sport classification going on to compete internationally.
Today whether he’s speaking to corporate teams, school students, or high-performance athletes, Neil’s message is the same: setbacks don’t define you — mindset does. He is living proof that when you choose grit over limitation, the possibilities can be limitless.

Adversity comes in many forms and doesn’t discriminate - and neither does resilience. Whether it’s burnout in the boardroom or a life-changing event, we all face moments that test us. What defines us isn’t the challenge itself, but how we respond to it.
Neil has used his own life-changing experience to shape a message that helps others strengthen their mindset, navigate uncertainty, and turn setbacks into growth. His keynotes show that you don’t need a disability to feel stuck or limited—he inspires audiences to accept what can’t be changed, adapt with resilience, and conquer the impossible.
